Cakes & Confections
For my first time as a swap host I chose a really light and lively theme -- Cakes & Confections. I've been totally entranced by Baltimore's CHARM CITY CAKES on the Food Network of late, and that was my inspiration. All the work for this swap was really vivid and whimsical so I think everyone will be happy with their returns even though we had a small group of only five artists participating, including me. I'm so excited to be sending these out! And it's super fun to be a swap host, because people send you extra cards sometimes as a special "thank you" treat, or postage to help defray costs. Mail art is so fun and its own community. I wish I could turn everyone on earth on to it.

these look wonderful! I'll bet they were just a lot of fun to create!!

Oh Shelli, I do enjoy taking a peek at your wonderful art, you are so prolific! But where, oh where, have your beautiful bears gone?

Bev: These WERE fun to create! It was a great and easy, pressure-free swap because it was just a fun little doodling exercise, vs. a huge "artist study" like they can sometimes be. Those are fun for the challenge, but exact a higher price in the process.
Paula: This particular collection of ATC images is the collected work of the ENTIRE GROUP of Cakes & Confections swap participants... so don't be too impressed with how prolific I am based on this image, because it's not all my work! I have only one or two cards represented in this grid. The rest is from other artists.
As for your question about where my bears have gone... please read my post entitled "Where Bears" for a response.
And thank you for caring enough to ask... :)
