The Artist is the person who makes life more interesting or beautiful, more understandable or mysterious, or probably, in the best sense, more wonderful.
~ George Bellows
There are painters who transform the sun into a yellow spot, but there are others who with the help of their art and intelligence, transform a yellow spot into sun.
So, just for grins... here's the comparison between BEFORE and AFTER, in what used to be the "working" corner of my studio/guest room.
Big changes, eh?

Ooh,this reminds me...I meant to add in my other post...would you be willing to post a close up picture of your dad's painting? It's wonderful... I just thought it would be nice to see it full on. Nosey me...
I'll be crafting on the other side of the room, just past the foot of the bed. I've set up two entire tables there for just that purpose. The actual work area I used to have (shown above) was about 2x2 feet square, even though it was part of a really big hutch. Now I have almost the entire space of two tabletops... and the old "working" corner of my room gets to house the guest bed.
And Shantell... interestingly, for as much as I like to post my work and that of others, for some reason my dad's painting has been kinda a precious secret to me and I didn't want to blast it all over the internet even though I'm immensely proud of it and so thrilled to have it. But now that you've asked, I'll be sure to get a good picture and post it soon!
