So excited! So excited!

I finished my "large" Secret Santa gift for ___________ at illustratedATCs.com.  I think/hope she'll love it!  And I think/hope she doesn't read my blog, because there are several dead giveaway hints in the photos I'm sharing of her giftie.

I made her a custom painting (previously posted here) featuring some of her favorite subjects, and a handmade journal (she loves those, she said) with a Japanese theme, cut from thin balsa wood.  This was a fun little goodie to whip up.  I finished the front and back covers, and stained the inside pages (but left them blank) so she could add her own art.  I have a few ideas of what she might like to put in there; maybe dogwood, cherry blossom, bonsai, and Japanese maple trees?

Also included is a hand-painted bookmark (she reads a lot); a matching necklace and earring set featuring purples and blues (her favorite colors); a felt fortune cookie edged in blanket stitch with a prediction almost guaranteed to come true; a homemade dry minestrone soup mix with a hand-painted recipe card that turns into an ATC when the cooking's all done; and one store bought giftie:  a modern keyring with her initial.
