Slide.com
I love(/hate) the internet. There are so many cool tools to be found, which I love. The "hate" part comes about as a result of all the time I spend dorking around with those tools, and getting frustrated by them.
Happily, there are a few widgets that are easy, fun, AND effective. And even fewer -- but still, some! -- that are aesthetically pleasing and interesting to boot. Slide.com offers one such widget.
As part of my website update, I'm reworking my Gallery slideshow to bring my showcase up to date. I used Slide.com the last time and decided to revisit them this time around, as well. So I spent the better part of this morning goofing off at Slide.com and having fun with their myriad options, and came up with something I really like that I think suits my branding well, that I stuck on my website.
Below, find a second, very cool version that I really love the look of, but which wasn't ideal for my website's style and for best viewing by my visitors, so I ended up not using it. I mean, you can't remove the color from your work, if you want it to really *pop*! Right?!?
Still, this combination of effects pleased me so much, I just had to put this finished slideshow somewhere, so I can view it again and again, and so I can share it with others. So onto my blog it goes!
Enjoy the old-world, vintage movie reel effect... and, also, I hope, my body of furry work.

I am still dorking around with most of it and still can't figure out what is happening with all of it.... I am computilliterate or something. ....
Like, why can't I put a vertical picture on my sidebar? eh? and... what happened to my Bluelink type when somebody leaves me a comment... what's happening there hey? ..huh?.... ????? It's a wonder I got that blog going a - tall.... s'all I can say.
In comparison to which...you are a whiz....

Oh my gosh I LOVE that!! I'm going to have to go play with this right now. If I manage to create anything I will give you MASS praises for always finding the coolest toys n tools out there. TOO COOL!

I'm glad you're inspired by this neat little gizmo, too. We NEED that inspiration, to offset the twenty bajillion hours we spend on doodads that are NOT as user-friendly, not as impressive in their outcome. Have fun, all!
PS Chrissi, don't give me TOO many praises. I'm just using freeware like everyone else! I didn't invent the thing... :)

Okay, I blame you for my butt being stuck to the office chair playing with Slide.com. Shame on you!!! Ha! The problem with this site is that the music doesn't really jive with my "look". I think people would fall out of their chairs if I put bass thumping, window rattling music with my bears! Then again (insert impish grin here) it would be kind of fun to shake things up a bit. Oh dear, those Halloween devil horns are showing! Ha! Hugs, Aleta
