The Artist is the person who makes life more interesting or beautiful, more understandable or mysterious, or probably, in the best sense, more wonderful.
~ George Bellows
There are painters who transform the sun into a yellow spot, but there are others who with the help of their art and intelligence, transform a yellow spot into sun.
An altered shoe, for a non-card art swap at ATCards.com. This was a very fun, but very messy, project. I used fabric, patterned paper, tissue, lace & ribbon, paint, rubber stamps, ink, and collage, using matte gel medium to adhere it all.

OMG, Shel...this WOULD be my kind of art...being a lover of all things "shoe"...Cute...cute...cute...I could do SHOE!!! ;0)
I didn't think anyone would go for this; thanks for the nice feedback! The glue-y mess involved in making it drove me nuts but luckily I kept the one piece that needed to stay glue-free, glue free -- the insole. Whew! Maybe I'll do another one some day. :)
